Refund and Course Cancellation 

If any course is canceled, closed, or filled, tuition and registration fees will be refunded. No registration or tuition fee will be refunded for any reason on or after the first day of class. If a student wishes to drop out of a class, a written notice must be submitted 5 business days in advance of the original starting date to receive a tuition refund. There are no refunds or exchanges on study materials. All records will be kept for 5 years from the start of the NMLS Approved Course to comply with the data and document retention policy approved by the Mortgage Testing and Education Board (MTEB) and the NMLS Policy Committee.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that necessary records and documents of My Career in Housing are protected, maintained, and retained for a period of 5 years from the start of an approved NMLS Course. 

The owner of My Career in Housing “Julian Toro” is the administrator in charge of the administration of this policy and the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure that the record retention schedule is followed. The administrator is also authorized to: make modifications to the record retention schedule in accordance with the NMLS Approved Course Data and Document Retention Policy, and annually review the record retention to ensure compliance. 

In the event of litigation or claims My Career in Housing shall suspend the disposal of documents until determined otherwise.

This policy applies to all physical records generated by My Career in Housing operations. Further, My Career in Housing agrees that NMLS retains the ability to audit Course Data, as needed, to ensure Course Provider is properly administrating courses and tracking student participation. Accordingly, the Course Provider must make Course Data available to SRR within 14 calendar days of a written request from SRR.
